PRAYER POINTS FOR WEEK OF FEBRUARY 8

Prayer Points for the week of February 8, 2009

Psalm 63:1-8 Please pray for the people using Psalm 63 as a guide:

Declare and proclaim that He is God; He is our God. Earnestly seek Him, thirst for Him and long for Him. (vs.1)

Pray that the people would cry out in their distress and earnestly seek the face of God with a longing to embrace his promises and purposes. (vs.1)

Pray that the people would have a revelation of the power and glory of God at work in their lives. Declare that we shall see the glory of God and experience His power as we seek to know Him. (vs.2)

Pray that the people would have a revelation of the love of God that is better than life and that we would praise Him with uplifted hands and singing lips. (vs.4-5) May they remember Him and think of Him even through the watches of the night. (vs.6)

Declare that we shall find rest, satisfaction and even sing in the shadow of His wings. Pray that we would cling to Him as His right hand upholds us and as we trust Him and find our help in Him alone. (vs.7-8)

Pray that the people, by revelation of the Holy Spirit, would have ears to perceive, eyes to see and minds to conceive what God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Cor.2:8)

Exodus 3:13-17 (vs.14-15) “I am who I am…this is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.”

Intercede for those who feel they have failed in such a way that does not allow them to serve God. Declare God’s word over them that they are God’s workmanship, a masterpiece, a priceless work of art in God’s eyes. That they have been re-created fully equipped to do good and what God requires all that He has prepared in advance for us to do. (Eph 2:16)

Pray that we would stop running from God, running to Him instead, allowing Him to restore us and turn our failures into grace.

Pray that we would allow Jesus and the word of God to define us and not our failures. That we would take His name and be reminded that He is bigger than any failure and will work all things together for good in all situations, good and bad. (Rom 8:28)

Pray that we would allow every failure to lead us into a greater revelation of the character of God.

Pray that we would turn our failures to success by taking the grace we’ve been given and helping others.
